St. James Episcopal School is dedicated to an important mission comprised of three main elements: a tradition of inclusion, a tradition of excellence and a tradition of valued learning.
A Tradition of Inclusion
 Students experience worship that provides ritual to the life of our school. Students worship together twice a week at St. James Episcopal School.
Students enjoy coordinated religious education that connects the theology in worship to the classroom and beyond. Students are taught from a Christian Education program that embraces different religious identities, encourages the development of those identities and celebrates diversity. Students take part in community service opportunities and community partnership programs.
A Tradition of Excellence
 We maintain a mission of developing the whole student. Students participate in physical education classes daily, that are designed to enhance personal health and team participation. Students participate in adolescent skills classes that are issue driven. Students are exposed to extra-curricular opportunities in basketball and soccer to ensure participation, skill development, and sportsmanship. Students participate in Fine Arts opportunities that allow them a year-long exploration of musical theatre, the visual arts, art history, photography and guitar and string instruction.
Students have access to technology available in a technology lab setting and in an integrated curriculum within the classroom.
A Tradition of Valued Learning
 Classroom teachers are credentialed and experienced in the grade and/or subject they teach. The St. James curriculum challenges students to rigorous thinking, discovery, and the pursuit of truth. |
